Research Compliance and Training

Research is an integral part of what we do here at Downstate. As a research community, it is our responsibility to be diligent and compliant with laws, policies and federal regulations that govern research and our research activities.

Research must be fair, transparent and trustworthy in order to be successful. The public expects funds spent on research to benefit the whole. Sponsors also expect and trust that science and research is done responsibly.

In order to engage in research, apply and accept funding regardless of the type of sponsor, being cognizant of the regulations is necessary, required and is the responsibility of all Downstate employees.

The menu bar on the right highlights some of the more prominent regulations regarding Research Compliance. Please familiarize yourself with them as this is a shared responsibility between the PI/Program Director, study staff and institution.
